About Asana at Home

Asana at Home Online Yoga is a Canadian online yoga school offering yoga teacher training, continuing education, live online classes, and on-demand yoga education for students and teachers worldwide.

Our programs bring experienced yoga educators into your home, giving you the chance to study, practice, and grow without needing to travel to a studio or training centre.

Whether you are beginning your teaching journey, continuing your education, or simply looking for meaningful yoga classes from home, Asana at Home was created to make high-quality yoga education more accessible.

Online Yoga Education from Home

Asana at Home offers online yoga programs for students, yoga teachers, and movement professionals who want to learn in a flexible, supportive way.

Our courses include foundational and advanced yoga teacher training, specialized continuing education, live online yoga classes, and an on-demand video library. Students can study at their own pace, attend live sessions when available, and return to course materials over time.

The goal is simple: to make yoga education practical, accessible, and grounded in real teaching experience.

We believe online learning works best when it is clear, well-organized, and personal. That is why our training combines structured lessons, experienced teachers, practical teaching tools, and, whenever possible, ongoing access.

Our Story

Asana at Home began with a simple idea: yoga education should be easier to access without losing the depth, care, and personal connection that make a good training meaningful.

Many yoga students and teachers want to keep learning, but travel, work, family, location, cost, and time can make in-person trainings difficult. Online learning creates another path.

Over time, Asana at Home has grown into an online yoga education platform offering teacher trainings, continuing education courses, live classes, and practice resources led by experienced instructors across a range of yoga traditions and specialties.

Today, our work focuses on supporting both dedicated yoga students and yoga teachers who want to keep refining their practice, teaching skills, and understanding of yoga.

What We Offer

Asana at Home offers several types of online yoga education.

Online Yoga Teacher Training

Our teacher training programs support students who want to become yoga teachers or deepen their understanding of yoga practice, philosophy, sequencing, anatomy, and teaching methodology.

Programs include foundational and advanced training options, including Yoga Alliance–registered pathways such as 200-hour and 300-hour yoga teacher training.

Continuing Education for Yoga Teachers

For yoga teachers who are already certified, we offer continuing education courses in areas such as Yin Yoga, Chair Yoga, Hatha Yoga, yoga anatomy, yoga philosophy, meditation, accessibility, and teaching skills.

The design of these programs is for teachers who want to stay inspired, expand their knowledge, and bring more confidence into their classes.

Live Online Yoga Classes

Through our Welcome to the Yinside membership, students can join live online yoga classes from home and access a growing library of class recordings.

These classes support regular practice and give students a way to stay connected to experienced teachers throughout the week.

On-Demand Yoga Learning

Many of our trainings and classes include on-demand access so students can revisit lessons, review techniques, and continue learning at a pace that fits their life.

This flexibility is central to how we teach online.

Yoga Teacher Training & Continuing Education

Asana at Home offers Yoga Alliance–registered teacher training and continuing education programs, including RYS 200, RYS 300, and YACEP offerings.

Our course catalogue includes programs for students beginning their teaching journey, experienced teachers pursuing advanced study, and yoga professionals seeking specialized continuing education.

Courses may include areas such as:

The design of each program is to help students understand not only what to teach, but why they are teaching it and how to adapt yoga intelligently for different bodies, students, and learning needs.

Meet the Teaching Team

The foundation of Asana at Home is a faculty of experienced yoga teachers, teacher trainers, and continuing education providers.

Our teaching team includes educators with specialties in Yin Yoga, Hatha Yoga, Chair Yoga, yoga anatomy, meditation, yoga philosophy, accessible movement, and Mat Pilates.

Teachers such as Bernie Clark, Diana Batts, Christina Raskin, Nathalie Keiller, and Katie Connolly each bring their own experience, training, and teaching style to the programs they lead.

Rather than building every course around a single approach, Asana at Home brings together teachers with different areas of expertise while keeping the learning experience organized, supportive, and practical.

Our Approach to Yoga Education

Our approach is grounded, practical, and student-centered.

We do not believe yoga education needs to be overly complicated to be meaningful. At the same time, we do not believe online yoga training should feel thin, rushed, or disconnected from real teaching.

A strong yoga education should help students:

  • understand the purpose behind the practice
  • learn how to adapt yoga for different bodies
  • build confidence as teachers and practitioners
  • study anatomy, philosophy, and technique in useful ways
  • stay curious without feeling overwhelmed
  • return to the material as their practice and teaching evolve

Our goal is to make yoga education feel both accessible and substantial.

That means clear course structure, experienced teachers, practical demonstrations, thoughtful discussion, and enough flexibility for students to learn from home without feeling like they are learning alone.

Who We Serve

Asana at Home serves a wide range of students and teachers.

Some students come to us because they want to become yoga teachers for the first time. Others are already teaching and want to continue their education, refresh their skills, or explore a specific area of practice in more depth.

Many students join simply because they want access to thoughtful online yoga classes and teachers they can return to week after week.

Our community includes:

  • yoga students deepening their personal practice
  • aspiring yoga teachers
  • certified yoga teachers pursuing continuing education
  • experienced teachers looking for fresh inspiration
  • movement professionals expanding their teaching tools
  • students who need flexible online learning options
  • people who prefer to study and practice from home

Wherever someone begins, we intend to offer education that feels useful, respectful, and easy to return to.

Why Online Yoga Learning Works

Online learning gives students access to teachers and courses they may not otherwise be able to reach.

For many people, traveling to a multi-day training is not realistic. For others, learning from home allows more time to absorb the material, revisit lessons, and integrate the work gradually.

Online yoga education can be especially helpful when it includes:

  • clear course organization
  • high-quality video instruction
  • lifetime or extended access
  • live learning opportunities where appropriate
  • practical teaching tools
  • responsive student support
  • experienced instructors with real teaching backgrounds

This is the model Asana at Home continues to build around.

We want students to feel they can learn deeply without having to put their lives on hold.
